Raft Types 01
Resort Floating Accommodation
Floating guest houses for resorts on rivers, reservoirs and lakes — bringing guests close to the water on a raft that stays stable and serves for many years.
Highlights
- Flexible architecture — gabled, box-shaped or capsule designs
- Single units or rows of rooms linked by walkways
- Every pontoon air-tested at 2 bar and coated with ≥ 450 µm coal tar epoxy
- Trial-assembled at the factory, then installed on site
Pontoon considerations
- Walls, roof and furniture make guest houses heavy, so the deck weight per m² is higher than for open rafts
- Stability matters for guest comfort — spreading pontoon rows across the full width reduces rocking
- Bathrooms, water tanks and air-conditioners should be declared as extra loads so engineers can place pontoons correctly
Calculation values for this raft type
| Usable pontoon buoyancy | 50% |
|---|---|
| Raft deck weight (approx.) | 180 kg/m² |
| Weight per person (incl. belongings) | 90 kg |
These values are for preliminary estimates. Our engineers verify and design for actual site conditions.
